First Capital Bank has pledged P500,000 to the Private Sector Disaster Response Fund (PSDRF) in response to the severe flooding that has affected communities across Botswana.
This private sector-led initiative ensures that relief efforts are swiftly mobilised, bridging gaps where immediate assistance is needed.
The PSDRF, spearheaded by Business Botswana, plays a crucial role in directing financial aid efficiently, working in close collaboration with the National Disaster Management Committee (NDMC).

Through this structured and accountable approach, relief reaches affected households and businesses in a timely manner.
Commenting on the bank’s contribution, First Capital Bank Botswana CEO, Reinette van der Merwe said: “We recognise the devastating impact these floods have had on communities, businesses, and livelihoods.
