President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko will undertake a series of high-level Working Visits to Oman, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Switzerland from 19 to 29 October 2025, aimed at deepening investment partnerships and accelerating Botswana’s economic diversification agenda.

The diplomatic and investment-focused tour will begin in Muscat, Oman, and continue through Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi in the UAE, before concluding in Geneva, Switzerland.

According to a statement from the Office of the President, the engagements are designed to attract strategic investments in sectors aligned with Botswana’s development priorities, including financial services, minerals, infrastructure, agriculture, energy, and telecommunications.

From 19 to 25 October, President Boko will meet with key institutions such as the Oman Investment Authority and private sector leaders in the Gulf region.

These discussions are expected to unlock new Government-to-Government and Business-to-Business collaborations, with a focus on sustainable job creation and long-term economic growth.

The final leg of the visit, scheduled for 25 to 29 October in Geneva, will see the President engage with international CEOs, entrepreneurs, and investors to explore enhanced partnerships in high-impact sectors.

President Boko will be accompanied by senior government officials throughout the mission. During his absence, Vice President Ndaba Nkosinathi Gaolathe will serve as Acting President of the Republic of Botswana.
