Gaborone, Botswana — February 2026 FNB Botswana has been ranked the Number One Top Employer in Botswana for 2026 and awarded the Top Employer Africa certification for the second consecutive year, according to the Top Employer Institute.
The recognition comes as the bank marks its 35th anniversary, underscoring its long-standing investment in people, culture, and workplace excellence. The certification validates FNB Botswana’s employee-focused practices, including learning and development, wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Human Capital Director Mlungisi Jackalas said the accolade reflects the bank’s commitment to fostering talent and listening to employees. “This achievement demonstrates our dedication to developing our people and creating an environment where talent can thrive. It reflects who we are when no one is watching,” he said.

The Top Employer Institute’s certification process benchmarks organisations against global standards of employee experience and workplace culture. FNB Botswana has participated for two years as part of its strategy to strengthen its employer brand and attract top talent.
Jackalas credited staff for the achievement, noting, “You are the culture. You are the brand. And you are the reason this accomplishment is possible.”
The recognition positions FNB Botswana competitively in the market, where employer branding has become a key differentiator across the financial services sector.
