Orange Money Botswana has partnered with four local creatives to boost awareness and adoption of its digital payment platform, DuelaEasy.

The partnership brings together content creators Tinnere, Han C, Lebgee and Hey Nyena, who will use their influence and digital platforms to promote the service and show how to use it in everyday transactions.

DuelaEasy is a merchant payment solution that allows customers to pay directly from their mobile phones without using a physical bank card. Users can complete transactions by scanning a QR code, entering a merchant ID, or providing their Orange Money number at participating retailers.

The service is currently available at major supermarkets, including Trans, Choppies and Sefalana, where customers can initiate payments at checkout using their Orange Money accounts. Every transaction is secured through customer PIN authorisation.

Orange Money Commercial and Marketing Director, Gazza Motswagole, said the partnership forms part of the company’s strategy to make digital financial services more accessible and relatable to customers.

“Creatives have a powerful ability to influence conversations and shape how people interact with brands. By partnering with local talent, we are taking Orange Money DuelaEasy closer to customers through voices they know, trust and engage with every day,” said Motswagole.

He said the campaign would focus on demonstrating practical applications of the platform and encouraging wider use of digital payments.

“DuelaEasy is about making everyday transactions simpler, faster and more convenient. We want people to see digital payments not as something complicated, but as a natural part of how they transact, shop and do business,” he said.

Motswagole said the initiative would also support Botswana’s creative industry by creating commercial opportunities for local talent.

“This is more than a marketing partnership. It is about creating value on both sides, helping us communicate our products in culturally relevant ways while creating meaningful opportunities for Botswana’s creative industry to grow,” he said.

Under the partnership, the four creatives will produce and share content that highlights DuelaEasy’s features and shows how customers can use the platform for everyday purchases.
