Donald Molosi Wins Outstanding Professional in Africa Award 2025

Banjul, The Gambia – February 19, 2025 – The AFROPA Secretariat in The Gambia is proud to announce that Botswana’s Donald Molosi PhD., has won the prestigious title of Outstanding Professional in Africa for the year 2025. 

Molosi will fly to The Gambia for the award ceremony in March and he will be accompanied by his team at CattlePost Films.

This accolade is part of the 4th Africa Outstanding Professionals Awards, a pan-continental initiative aimed at recognizing and celebrating exceptional professionals across various fields of activity.

Molosi’s most recent film as producer, “Partly Cloudy & Hot” was certified Oscar-qualifying in Atlanta, Georgia last year.

“Africa is waking up to her excellence. I am grateful to accept this massive award from The Gambia. I appreciate that The Gambia recognises my work in acting as well as in global consultancy,” says Molosi.

Molosi’s credits as an actor include “Green Zone”(2007) opposite Matt Damon and “A United Kingdom”(2015) opposite Rosamund Pike.

His books include “Dear Upright African”(2019), “We Are All Blue”(2016), “Blue, Black and White”(2015) and “Gambit”(2014). 

Molosi was a lead consultant for Uganda’s 50th independence anniversary in 2012. He was also headhunted by President Ma of Taiwan to assist when Taiwan marked its 100th anniversary as a republic in 2011.

Currently Molosi is lead consultant on a similar project in Trinidad and Tobago.

The Africa Outstanding Professionals Awards serve as a platform to highlight the achievements of individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary capability and accomplishment in their respective domains.

By promoting professionalism within socio-economic activities, these awards contribute to the broader goal of enhancing Africa’s competitiveness on the global stage.

Molosi will attend the award ceremony in The Gambia which will take place on March 25th, 2025, at a glamorous red carpet gala event in Banjul, The Gambia.

Attendees can expect an evening filled with celebration and inspiration as distinguished professionals from across the continent gather to honour their peers.
