The heart of Botswana’s capital city – Gaborone Main Mall, Old Debswana House, was painted green on the 30th June 2023 when First Capital Bank launched its Consumer Service Centre that is set to boost a new look and great opportunities.

First Capital Bank opened its doors to Botswana in 2008, providing amazing financial services aimed primarily at independent small to large scale enterprises. It has five branches (Gaborone CBD, Gaborone Old Lobatse Road, Mogoditshane, Francistown and Maun) and also has six Consumer Services (Gaborone, Palapye, Mochudi, Kanye, Francistown, and Molepolole).

His Worship the Mayor of Gaborone, Councillor Austin Abraham expressed his outmost gratitude to the First Capital Bank and applauded them for taking a step in making their services available to all. He further encouraged them to do Corporate Social Responsibility as well as take advantage of the Council for assistance if needs be.

Ernest Linga, the Sales Manager talked about the outstanding services provided by the bank.

“We ensure that our customers are comfortable and fully understand our banking system. Our mission is to expand in Botswana and have a greater market,” he said.

The bank has extended its services to advanced technology and digital solutions which include foreign exchange, visa debit cards, and internet banking.

“We don’t only give loans. We also give other products as we recently sponsored the Lefika tournament”, he said.

Lefika is a savings account which is open to all the public. It has free monthly withdrawals of up to 50% of the account balance and has a competitive monthly interest of 3.5% per annum.

“The reason we are here as a branch is that we are strategically positioned to also service our ordinary people. We are hoping to keep expanding our services,” Thatayaone Matlapeng, the country Manager for Consumer Lending added.

Whilst First Capital Bank is an organization that primarily serves the financial wellbeing of its consumers, it is also an organization that understands the importance of community and is committed to enhancing the lives of those in the communities it operates in.

Customers can learn more about First Capital Bank through either their website ( https://www.firstcapitalbank.co.bw) or visit their branch at Plot 17954, Old Lobatse Road, Gaborone or call 390 7801.
