FNB Botswana Brings Health and Care to Letlhakane Community

Letlhakane, Botswana — 18 November 2025

Hundreds of residents gathered for the FNB Letlhakane–Zowa Wellness Day, a vibrant community health initiative hosted by First National Bank Botswana (FNB Botswana) to provide free medical services, health education, and wellness support to the people of Letlhakane.

Held under the theme “Delivering Health Through Hope & Care,” the event focused on diabetes awareness and prevention, offering a wide range of services including diabetes and hypertension testing, prostate screening, HIV and STI testing, nutritional advice, physiotherapy, and blood donation drives.

The initiative, which brought together health professionals, FNB staff, and residents, was widely praised for addressing critical healthcare gaps in the community. Many attendees expressed appreciation for the opportunity to access medical services that are often difficult to reach.

“This Wellness Day is part of our broader commitment to improving lives beyond financial services,” said Ms Peo Porogo, FNB Botswana’s Director of Marketing and Communications.

“We believe that true prosperity begins with good health. When our communities are healthy, they are empowered to thrive.”

Porogo emphasized that the event reflects the bank’s purpose-driven approach to community engagement.

“FNB Botswana is more than just a financial institution; we are a partner that cares deeply about the people we serve. This Wellness Day allowed us to connect with the community by listening, supporting, and providing help where it matters.”

The event not only promoted physical wellbeing but also reinforced FNB Botswana’s role as a compassionate corporate citizen committed to uplifting communities across the country.
