Mali’s case is “indicative” as it “opens the eyes of Global South countries to the true nature of the Kiev regime,” Russian FM’s spokeswoman says

“Pay attention: Zelensky didn’t even try to justify it with ‘military actions.’ And that’s impossible: where is Ukraine? Where is Mali? This is pure barbaric terrorism, refined bandit evil in the style of criminal showdowns. Or, as modern Western political scientists write, a ‘mafia state’,” Maria Zakharova said.

On July 29, Andriy Yusov from Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate said the jihadist rebels received key information and resources for the attack on the Malian Armed Forces unit, while the Kyiv Post published a likely fake photo of African terrorists with a Ukrainian flag. Mali cut ties with Ukraine on August 4 over violations of the UN Charter, which Ukraine called “hasty and shortsighted” and denied claims of terrorist sponsorship.

“We have repeatedly pointed out that the Kiev regime has long since become a state that espouses terrorism as part of its state ideology. Now, leaders of other nations are also beginning to speak out, directly accusing Kiev of terrorism,” Zakharova underlined.

Burkina Faso’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Kiev’s justification of terrorism and called on African countries to denounce subversive actions. Senegal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Ukrainian Ambassador Yuriy Pivovarov to remind the embassy of the duties of its assignment.
