Orange Money Botswana has unveiled its DuelaEasy Pay and Win promotion, a 24-week competition that will reward customers, merchants and frontline operators with prizes worth more than P1.11 million as the company marks 15 years of Orange Money.

The promotion forms part of the company’s anniversary celebrations, commemorating Orange Money’s journey from a basic mobile wallet launched in 2011 to one of Botswana’s leading digital financial ecosystems serving more than 1.3 million Batswana.

Customers who make eligible payments using their phone via DuelaEasy will be automatically entered into the competition, giving participants multiple opportunities to win throughout the competition with no additional entry required.

The promotion offers a wide range of rewards across the 24 weeks. Every week, 12 customers will each receive P1,500 food vouchers, creating 288 weekly winners by the end of the competition.

Every month, two customers will win the latest iPhone 17 Pro Max, while the top six cashiers and two transport operators will each receive P10,000 cash in monthly incentive draws.

At the end of the campaign, two grand prize winners, one customer and one informal merchant, will each walk away with P150,000 in cash.

Orange Money Botswana Chief Executive Officer Seabelo Pilane said the campaign is a celebration of the customers whose trust and loyalty have shaped the success of Orange Money over the past decade and a half.

“For 15 years, Batswana have trusted Orange Money to help them send, receive and manage their money. DuelaEasy Pay and Win is our way of saying thank you.

We wanted this milestone celebration to give something meaningful back to the people who have been part of our journey and helped us build Orange Money into what it is today,” said Pilane.

The competition is built around the company’s anniversary narrative, recognising the transformation of Orange Money into a platform that has expanded access to financial services for households, entrepreneurs, informal traders and communities across Botswana.

Orange Money says the initiative reflects its commitment to rewarding customer loyalty while celebrating the role digital financial services continue to play in everyday life.

Pilane said the promotion reflects Orange Money’s long-standing mission of making financial services accessible to every Motswana.

“Our vision has always been bigger than transactions. We have worked to democratise the Pula by making financial services more accessible, more inclusive and more convenient for everyone, regardless of where they live or how they earn a living. This campaign is a celebration of that shared achievement with more than 1.3 million customers.”

The initiative also reinforces Orange Money’s appreciation of the merchants, cashiers and transport operators who continue to support the growth of digital payments across the country by including dedicated monthly incentive prizes for these stakeholders.

Pilane said the promotion captures the spirit of Orange Money’s 15th anniversary by recognising that its success has always been built in partnership with customers.

“This is more than a competition. It is a celebration of the people who believed in Orange Money from the beginning and those who continue to choose us every day.

Every eligible payment now carries the excitement of potentially receiving something back because re keteka 15 mmogo. We are celebrating this milestone together with the nation that made it possible.”

The DuelaEasy Pay and Win campaign will run for 24 weeks, with winners announced every week throughout the promotion before the two grand prize winners are crowned at the conclusion of the anniversary competition.
