Game Dibeela: Member of the Presidential Commission of Enquiry into the Review of the Constitution of Botswana

Ms. Game Dibeela holds a Master of Arts Degree in International Studies from Stellenbosch University, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science (Political Science and Public Administration) from the University of Botswana, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Risk Management from Botswana Accountancy College.


She has extensive experience in governance, electoral and peace support as well as humanitarian work gained from working with the United Nations, African Union and Southern African Development Community (SADC), Botswana Red Cross Society, and other international organisations in different capacities.


Her electoral support and governance-related work include deployment to the UN’s biggest electoral mission worldwide, where she was engaged as an Electoral Expert at the United Nations Mission in Iraq in 2021.

She has also served in election observation missions across Africa under the auspices of the African Union (AU), Southern African Development Community (SADC), Electoral Commission Forum for SADC Countries (ECFSADC), Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA), and Carter Centre.


Furthermore, Ms. Dibeela contributed to the AU’s African Peer Review Mechanism process in Botswana, where she co-authored input reviewing the country’s performance under the Democracy and Governance pillar.

Ms. Dibeela has also contributed to regional and continental peace and humanitarian support-related work. She also served in the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) between 2015 and 2018, where she was a part of the team that successfully brokered a local peace agreement between the government and opposition armed groups in the Western Equatorial region, creating a peaceful oasis amidst an active conflict and challenged national mediation process.


She is currently a consultant at the SADC Mediation Support Unit.
