Gaborone, May 19, 2026 — The 2025/26 FNB Premiership season will reach its climax this Saturday when Gaborone United host BDF XI at the Gaborone United Stadium, with kick-off set for 15h00.

Thousands of supporters are expected to pack the venue for the season finale, which will crown the champions and close another thrilling chapter in Botswana’s top-flight football.

Now in its second year, the FNB Premiership has grown in stature, delivering memorable football moments while strengthening ties between clubs, supporters, and communities. To mark the occasion, FNB Botswana has lined up fan activations, live entertainment, and hospitality experiences to create a premium match-day atmosphere.

FNB Botswana Chief Marketing Officer, Peo Porogo, said the league has become more than just a competition. “It is a platform that brings people together, inspires young talent, and creates opportunities for communities across the country,” she said.

Porogo added that the sponsorship reflects FNB Botswana’s broader commitment to community empowerment and local sport. “Football has the power to unite people, uplift communities, and create meaningful opportunities for local talent. This year’s finale is particularly special as it coincides with FNB Botswana’s 35th anniversary,” she noted.

Supporters have been urged to attend in large numbers for what promises to be an electrifying afternoon of football and celebration.
